The term "Jack-of-all-trades" should
not be applied to a professional in the language industry. We wouldn't
hire a zoologist to rebuild a '55 Chevy, and we wouldn't hire a
cosmetologist to perform neurosurgery on a newborn.
The American Translator's Association has said:
"Bilingualism on its own is not a guarantee of written fluency or skill in translation."
Additionally, fluency or skill in translation on its own is not a guarantee of expertise in all subjects. U.S. Translation Company chooses each linguist based on his or her expertise in the project's subject matter.
